The UK generates the second highest amount of e-waste per capita in the world. That’s why we’re committed to making sure at least 95% of our waste is recycled responsibly.


You can help us make that happen by trading your old business mobiles in for cash. We’ll even take them off your hands if they’re damaged and/or not working, so no need to worry if they’re not in the best condition.


And with our zero landfill policy, you can rest assured that the vast majority of phones will be reused, repaired or recycled for parts.

Frequently asked questions about our
business mobile recycling scheme

Who can use the scheme?

Any registered organisation in the UK. You don’t even have to be a Virgin Media O2 Business customer to register.

How does it work?

Just register the devices you want to trade in and organise a collection or drop off date that suits you. Once we have the devices we’ll value them and then credit the cash to your O2 account or bank account. Alternatively you can opt to donate some or all of the money to our charity partner, Good Things Foundation.

What happens to the devices?

We will extend their life at our dedicated recycling plant in Norwich using circular solutions like repairing, recycling or reselling them once refurbished. Our sustainability commitment is to make sure at least 95% of waste is recycled responsibly. We help UK organisations recycle thousands of devices every year.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. In fact, we pay you. We’ll even cover the cost of the courier to collect your devices from one office location, or for single devices you can use a pre-paid Royal Mail service.

What about personal data?

We wipe all data from your devices in accordance with the latest compliance regulations. All devices go through ADISA-approved (the industry standard) and GDPR-compliant data erasure software.

Can I do everything online?

Yes. We have a dedicated online portal where you can register one or multiple devices, get instant quotes, book collections, manage payments and certifications and track the journey of your devices all the way through the recycling process. It's fast. It's easy. And there's no need to pick up the phone. Visit the portal to find out more.
